Clovelly Bathers Art Print

$49.00 Sale

Clovelly was transformed from a rugged coastline into its distinctive concrete haven in the 1930s, when the Randwick Council decided to channel its inner architect and turn it into Sydney's most unique swimming spot.

The concrete promenades weren't just for keeping sand out of swimmers' shorts - they were built to prevent sewage contamination, making Clovelly one of the first beaches to tackle environmental issues head-on.

The beach is famous for its resident blue groper fish, affectionately named "Bluey" by locals. These massive, puppy-like fish are known to follow snorkelers around like aquatic tour guides.
